Basic Chocolate Sauce

August 12, 2018

Hey there chocolate fans,

Chocolate sauce is easy to make and, well, easy to eat! Pour it over your favorite frozen treat, ice cream sundae, make brownies even more decadent, or top it on your homemade pancakes.

Trust me, once you make homemade chocolate sauce, you will never go back to the bottle stuff.

Basic Chocolate Sauce

Yields: Approx. 2 cups

Equipment needed: Medium size saucepan, measuring cups/spoons, whisk, spatula, container for leftovers

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup

  • Add all ingredients in a medium size saucepan

  • Whisk together until smooth

  • Place on stovetop, and cook on medium low heat. Stir

  • Cook for 5 minutes or until uniform and combine.

  • Remove from heat and store in glass containers in the fridge
