A new recipe series added to Sweetness in Seattle blog will be called "5 ingredient recipe.' A dessert recipe that will only have 5 ingredients. Some pre-made, some not, all 110% delicious.
Oh why? Who doesn't want a fast and easy sweet recipe to whip together for a last minute dinner party? Or when you are craving a homemade treat? Or when you are baking with a little one? These 5 ingredient recipes are meant to be funny, simple, and tasty!
5 ingredient Bread pudding for 2
Oven: 350 degrees F
Time: 30 minute
Equipment needed: 2 small ramekins, whisk, mixing bowl, measuring cups / spoons, deep dish pie plate (for water bath)
Your 5 Ingredients:
1 cup cubed, stale white bread
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoons SunSpire carob chips (don't have 'em? Feel free to substitute regular chocolate chips)
In 2 small ramekins, place 1/2 cup cubed stale white bread in each ramekin.
In a mixing bowl, add:
Pour custard mix evenly over stale bread
Fill deep dish pie plate half way with water.
Place the 2 ramekins in the pie plate.
Place entire pie plate in oven.
Bake for 30 minutes or until nice and firm.
Enjoy! Eat it with someone you care about. Or by yourself!
